Fog disrupts air traffic in North India

Bhubaneswar(By Abhishek Mohanty):
Dense fog conditions across North India on Friday significantly disrupted air travel, affecting several flights to and from Bhubaneswar and Varanasi.

A Mumbai–Varanasi flight was unable to land at Varanasi airport due to poor visibility and was diverted to the Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar.

Airport sources said the flight is expected to proceed to Varanasi once weather conditions improves.

Fog also led to the cancellation of two flights operating from Delhi to Bhubaneswar. The cancelled services included one Air India flight and one IndiGo flight.

Authorities have arranged alternative flights for affected passengers.

Additionally, at least three flights departing from Bhubaneswar were reported to be operating with delays due to prevailing fog conditions.

Passengers have been advised to check flight status with airlines before heading to the airport as weather-related disruptions may continue.
