FREE TEXTBOOKS FOR PRIVATE & NON-AIDED ODIA MEDIUM SCHOOL STUDENTS FROM 2024-25

Bhubaneswar(10/08/2023) : The students of private and non-aided Odia medium schools will get free textbooks in Odisha from 2024-25. To strengthen school education under the 5T initiative, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik directed authorities to provide free textbooks to students of all private and non-aided Odia medium schools in the state from the next academic session. Under the programme, the students from Class I to VIII will get free textbooks from the state government. The move is expected to benefit more than 5 lakh students of 3,620 schools.

The state government will spend Rs 9.43 crore annually.
