INAUGURATION OF PRE MARITAL COMMUNICATION CENTRE (PMCC) UNDER FLAGSHIP TERE MERE SAPNE
Remuna, 17th February, 2026, Today, the Pre Marital Communication Centre (PMCC) under Flagship “Tere Mere Sapne” and mentorship of National Commission for Women (NCW) has been inaugurated in the Conference Hall of PG Council of Fakir Mohan University (FMU) organized by a pioneer social organization Rural Development Foundation (RDF), Balasore at 3.30 PM by the Chief Guest Prof. Santosh Kumar Tripathy, Vice Chancelor of FMU, Chief Speaker Smt. Sovana Mohanty, Chairperson of Odisha State Commission for Women (OSCW), Smt. Mukta Sahu and Smt. Prativa Satapathy. Members of OSCW. Prof. Pabitra Mohan Nayak, Head, Department of Social Science, FMU has welcome addressed the guests whereas Dr. Rajashree Datta, Assistant Professor of FMU has anchored the programme. More than 200 students of faculties of various departments of FMU have participated in the programme. The dignitaries on stage have focused on the necessity of the Pre Marital Communication Centre (PMCC) in present society for better conjugal life.

In the technical session, Mr. Harish Chandra Raj, Secretary of RDF and Mr. Bijay Kumar Acharya, Centre Head of PMCC have narrated about the background and benefits of pre marital communication in providing guidance in relationship building, support to mental and emotional well-being, strengthening of family systems, reduce the chances of divorce and separation, social awareness, conflict resolutions of marriageable youth including their parents and near & dears to build the rational and peaceful marital life before marriage. The volunteers Kabita Sing, staff & students of FMU and the Councilors of PMCC and Family Counselling Center of RDF have helped in making successful the ceremony. Dr. Grace Bahalen Mundu, Assistant Professor of Department of Population Studies of FMU has given thanks in the programme. The ceremony was concluded by Prof. Bhaskar Chandra Behera, Chairman of PG Council of FMU. After the Inaugural Ceremony, at 7.00 PM, Smt. Sovana Mohanty, Chairperson of Odisha State Commission for Women (OSCW), Smt. Mukta Sahu and Smt. Prativa Satapathy. Members of OWCW have opened the PMCC-Tere Mere Sapne at Sahadevkhunta in Balasore Town by cutting the ribbon.
