JAI MAA BHAWANI CHARITABLE TRUST, DIVYA DIGANTA CELEBRATE RAJA SANKRANTI UTSAV IN GRAND MANNER
Bhubaneswar (15/06/2023): Social organisations Jai Maa Bhabani Charitable Trust and Divya Diganta celebrated the traditional Raja Sankranti Utsav on Thursday at Guru Kelu Charan Mohapatra Odissi Research Center at Jaydev Vihar, Bhubaneswar in grand manner. Marking the 6th anniversary of Jai Maa Bhawani Charitable Trust, free eye check-up and health check-up camps were conducted. On this day, Odissi dance, Raja Doli were installed at the venue.
This apart, Raja Paan, traditional pithas (cakes), traditional food, Puchi Khela (traditional game of girls) were the major attractions. This year, two eminent personalities of Odisha-Dr Bidyut Das and Dr Krushna Keshab Sarangi- were honoured with the prestigious Utkal Shree Samman.
Besides, the Seva Ratna Samman was conferred on distinguished persons who have contributed towards development of the state. The programme held under the chairmanship of Secretary of Jai Maa Bhawani Charitable Trust Dr Narayan Mohapatra was graced by eminent singer Dr Shyamamani Devi as chief guest.
Dr Santanu Ratha and Niladri Satpathy as guests of honour. Saswati Mishra attended the event as distinguished guest and highlighted the importance of Raja festival. Trust Treasurer Umanath Mishra, Advisor Er.Dillip Pattanayak, members Bipin Bihari Sahu, Ranjan Kumar Samal, Manoj Kumar Roul, Srinivas Rao, Achyuta Prasad Behera, Lalit Mohan Khuntia, Rahul Palei and Sonu Sahu attended the meeting. From Dibya Diganta, co-founder Jay Prakash Mishra and Mamata Biswal were present. Bhubaneswar Ladies Forum and DK Studio members presented Raja song, modern song and dance. Bhajan by Dibyaranjan Patnaik, Siddharth Baxi, Dillip Mohanty and Bharati Bhushan Patnaik mesmerised the audience .
