Odisha announces hike in dearness allowance for government employees
Bhubaneswar(11/03/2025): Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday announced a 2 percent increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) for government employees.
With this hike, the DA will rise from the existing 53% to 55%, offering much-needed relief against inflation. The revised DA will be applicable retrospectively from January 1,2025.
The employees will receive the hiked amount in cash along with the April salary. This apart, a 2 percent hike in the Dearness Relief (commonly referred to as TI or 'Temporary Increase') has also been announced for the state government pensioners.
