MP Pratap Chandra Sarangi injured in Parliament premises

New Delhi (19/12/2024): Amid protests in the Parliament premises over remarks on 'Ambedkar', BJP MP Pratap Chandra Sarangi claimed that he was injured as Congress leader Rahul Gandhi pushed an MP, who fell on him. Odisha's Balasore MP was rushed to Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital after sustaining injuries.

Union Ministers Piyush Goyal and Pralhad Joshi rushed to RML to meet Sarangi. Sarangi said, "Rahul Gandhi pushed an MP who fell on me after which I fell down...I was standing near the stairs when Rahul Gandhi came and pushed an MP who then fell on me." Reacting to the allegation, Rahul Gandhi said the incident may have occurred as there was intense jostling at the entrance of the Parliament.
