Nationwide shutdown of OPD services today
Bhubaneswar (13/08/2024): The Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) has called for a nationwide shutdown of OPD services starting today, August 13, 2024, to protest the rape and murder of a woman doctor in Kolkata.
The shutdown is in response to the sexual assault and murder of a woman post-graduate trainee doctor at Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital on August 9.
The Federation is demanding a CBI probe into the incident, implementation of safety laws and strict action against the arrested accused.
