ODIA BOOK ON NATURAL FARMING RELEASED BY NCNF ODISHA
Bhubaneswar(09/10/2023): A seminar on "Role of Emerging Agricultural Professionals on Promotion of Natural Farming in Odisha" has been organized in Institute of Agricultural Sciences, SOA University, Bhubaneswar.
Ekadashi Nandi highlighted the 'need of natural farming and the scientific perspective behind it.
Dolagobind Panda discussed about the need for a multi-stakeholder coalition to create momentum on natural farming in the state. In this seminar, the Dean, Institute of Agricultural Sciences, SOA University, Dr.Santosh Kumar Rout highlighted the need for this programme.
Students, researchers and lecturers of the university have participated in this seminar.
Youths are being sensitized on the need of natural farming in this type of University level programmes, Panda added.
An Odia book named " Prakrutika Krushi" written by Nandi and published by NCNF Odisha was released.
In this book, Nandi has discussed the history of natural farming in India, principles of natural farming, natural farming and climate, conservation of indigenous seeds, crop protection methods, irrigation and conservation of water, documentation and certification procedures and others.
NCNF Odisha, Coalition for Change in Odisha and SOA University, Bhubaneswar jointly organized this seminar.
