Odisha Cabinet approves implementation of the  Mukhyamantri Bus Seva

Bhubaneswar (By Abhishek Mohanty): The Odisha Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday approved eight key proposals including implementation of the  Mukhyamantri Bus Seva across the state. The scheme is visioned to strengthen the existing rural connectivity through rationalizing the operational cost/modalities, better stakeholder consultations for a more inclusive and coordinated transport system as per the requirement of the citizens. This service will connect with all important business centers, educational and medical hubs and other places of public interest within and outside the state.
The State Cabinet also approved the continuance of the scheme namely "Free Diagnostic and Dialysis Services-NIDAAN (second phase) for augmenting free diagnostic and dialysis services at private health facilities, with an estimated budget of Rs 2459.51 crore for a period of five years.

 Another scheme called the "Mukhya Mantri Sadak Yojana-Disaster Resilient Roads" got Cabinet approval.
The objective of the scheme is to build resilient road infrastructure to ensure minimal disruption in connectivity during and after disasters enabling unhindered access to emergency operational services in disaster affected areas of the state. These roads serve as lifeline in disaster prone areas and are to be durable and sustainable enough to withstand damages due to disasters with minimum maintenance.

The State Cabinet gave its approval to another scheme called "Constituency wise Allocation" (CWA) with an aim to construct/improve RD roads under 142 Assembly Constituencies in rural areas with scope to improve part length of road, left out/requiring improvement due to any reason. On improvement of the roads, the local population will be benefited with better access to educational institutions, medical facilities, connectivity to block/gram panchayat headquarter, market places and tourist spots, etc.
