Odisha CM Mohan Majhi flags off direct buses to Maha Kumbh Mela

Bhubaneswar (12/01/2025): Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Sunday flagged off direct bus services from four cities of the state to the Maha Kumbh Mela in Uttar Pradesh. Operating under the Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC), the buses will provide a seamless connection from Puri, Sambalpur, Bhawanipatna, and Berhampur to the Maha Kumbh Mela, easing travel for devotees from the state. The first batch of these special buses started their journey this morning.

The current bus service to the Maha Kumbh Mela will stay in place from January 13 to February 26. The Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj is set to begin tomorrow and is expected to host more than 40 crore devotees from across the globe during its 45-day duration.
