Odisha decked up for Diwali & Kali Puja; CM buys earthen lamps from Unit 1 Market

Bhubaneswar(31/10/2024): The people of Odisha are more than ready to celebrate the Kali Puja and Diwali festivities with excitement. The twin city of Bhubaneswar-Cuttack has been decked up with colourful lights as Diwali will be celebrated in grand manner in the evening.
On the occasion of Kali Puja today, puja pandals across the state came alive.
Chief Minister Mohan Majhi visited the Unit-1 Market in Bhubaneswar and bought earthen lamps.
The Chief Minister extended Diwali greetings to the people of the state The devotees have started thronging puja mandaps at Sahid Nagar, Satyanagar and many other places in Bhubaneswar, Bhadrakali Temple in Bhadrak to have a glimpse of Goddeess Kali.
Special rituals were performed at Bhadrakali Temple. The Sahid Nagar Durga Puja Samiti will perform Kali Puja at 9 PM onwards.
To mark the occasion, different cultural programmes will be held from November 1 to 9 (from 6 PM to 10 PM). The special attraction will be the performances by MB Music Group on November 1, Navia Group on November 2, Diptirekha Padhi & Group on November 3 and Baydanath Dash & Group on November 4.
