Odisha gets three Vande Bharat express trains
Bhubaneswar (15/09/2024): Odisha got three new Vande Bharat express trains on Sunday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off six Vande Bharat express trains including three for Odisha.
The trains were flagged off from Jamshedpur in Jharkhand.
The six routes that these trains will cover are Tatanagar-Patna, Brahmapur-Tatanagar, Rourkela-Howrah, Deogarh-Varanasi, Bhagalpur-Howrah and Gaya-Howrah. Attending the flagging off ceremony at Berhampur in Ganjam district, Chief Minister Mohan Majhi said, "The Centre is working for the development of railway infrastructure in Odisha.
A rail corridor will be set up and the state will play a major role in railway network development.".
