ODISHA GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCES RS 4 LAKH EX-GRATIA FOR DEATHS DUE TO LIGHTNING STRIKES

Bhubaneswar(03/09/2023): The Odisha government on Sunday announced an ex-gratia of Rs 4 lakh to family members of those killed due to lightning strikes in different places of the state yesterday. According to information, 12 persons died (Angul-1, Balangir-2, Boudh-1, Dhenkanal-1, Gajapati-1, Jagarsinghpur-1, Khordha-4 and Puri-5),14 sustained injuries and 8 cattle casualties were reported. In case of cattle death, assistance would be extended as admissible.
