Odisha government carries out major IAS reshuffle
Bhubaneswar (By Abhishek Mohanty): The Odisha government on Thursday effected a major reshuffle of IAS officers, reassigning senior officials and reallocating additional charges across several key departments. The changes were notified by the General Administration & Public Grievance Department.
Deoranjan Kumar Singh, IAS (RR-1993), DC-cum-Additional Chief Secretary, Planning & Convergence Department, has been given additional charge as Additional Chief Secretary, Steel & Mines Department.
Surendra Kumar, IAS (RR-1993) has been appointed Additional Chief Secretary, General Administration & Public Grievance Department, with additional charge of Parliamentary Affairs Department.
Bishnupada Sethi, IAS (RR-1995) has been appointed Chairman, Odisha Forest Development Corporation, while continuing as Chief Administrator, KBK.
Chithra Arumugam, IAS (RR-1995) will continue to hold additional charge as Director General, Training Coordination, Gopabandhu Academy of Administration.
Dr Arabinda Kumar Padhee, IAS (RR-1996) has been appointed Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue & Disaster Management Department, while retaining charge of Chief Administrator, Shree Jagannath Temple Administration, Puri.
Usha Padhee, IAS (RR-1996) will continue as Chairperson, IDCO.
Suresh Kumar Vashishth, IAS (RR-1997) has been appointed Principal Secretary, Social Security & Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Department.
Shubha Sarma, IAS (RR-1999) has been appointed Principal Secretary, Water Resources Department.
Girish S.N., IAS (RR-2002) will continue as Chairman, Odisha Mining Corporation.
Dr Mrinalini Darswal, IAS (RR-2002) has been appointed Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Women & Child Development Department.
Sachin Ramchandra Jadhav, IAS (RR-2007) has been appointed Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment Department, while retaining charge of Sports & Youth Services.
Sudhansu Mohan Samal, IAS (RR-2010) has been given additional charge as RDC, Central Division, Cuttack.
Rashmita Panda, IAS (RR-2010) has been appointed Vice-Chairperson, Bhubaneswar Development Authority.
Md Sadique Alam, IAS (RR-2010) has been appointed Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Public Enterprises Department.
Mansi Nimbhal, IAS (RR-2010) has been appointed Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Mission Shakti Department.
Prem Chandra Chaudhary, IAS (RR-2010) has been appointed Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Fisheries & Animal Resources Development Department.
Anupam Saha, IAS (RR-2012) will continue as MD, Odisha Bridge & Construction Corporation.
Sangram Keshari Mohapatra, IAS (SCS-2012) has been given additional charge as RDC (in-charge), Northern Division, Sambalpur, and Chairman (in-charge), WODC.
The reshuffle is aimed at strengthening administrative efficiency and streamlining departmental functioning across the state.
