ODISHA HEALTH DEPARTMENT ISSUES WARNING FOR POST-FLOOD WATER BORNE DISEASES
Bhubaneswar (08/08/2023): The Odisha Health department has issued warning for post-flood water borne diseases.
People have been advised to maintain hygiene in their homes and nearby areas.
According to Public Health Director Niranjan Mishra, 48 medical relief camps have been set up and 29 teams deployed across the flood affected areas of the state.
More than 11,000 ORS sachets and 28,000 halogen tablets have been distributed.
As many as 1,390 people have been treated in flood borne areas.
Besides, people should maintain personal hygiene and wash their hands regularly, especially before consuming food.
