ODISHA SCHOOL TEACHERS CALL OFF STRIKE

Bhubaneswar (18/09/2023): The agitating primary and upper primary school teachers called off their indefinite strike on Monday. The decision was taken by the teachers following talks with the Inter-Ministerial Committee. They had resorted to agitation seeking abolition of contractual appointment system, hike in grade pay and restoration of old pension scheme. The state government had requested the teachers to withdraw their strike and join duties for the interest of students.
