Odisha secures investment commitments worth Rs 27,650 crore at Hyderabad Investors’ Summit

Bhubaneswar(By Abhishek Mohanty): Odisha has recorded a major achievement in the investment sector after signing Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) worth Rs 27,650 crore at the Investors’ Summit held in Hyderabad on December 18 and 19, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said on Monday.
After returning to the state, the Chief Minister stated that he held 25 meetings with investors during the summit. The proposed investments are expected to generate nearly 56,000 employment opportunities in Odisha. Of the total, 13 MoUs signed at the summit alone aim to create 15,905 direct jobs.
Investors expressed strong interest in multiple priority sectors, including pharmaceutical manufacturing, medical devices, defence production, electronics, information technology, renewable energy, textiles, and data science. 

Detailed discussions were also held on Odisha’s industrial policies, infrastructure readiness, and support mechanisms to facilitate large-scale investments.
The Chief Minister said the response at the summit reflected growing confidence in Odisha as a preferred investment destination and reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to inclusive industrial growth.
