Odisha's renowned sculptor Padma Shri Prabhakar Maharana honoured with Desh Ratna Samman

Bhubaneswar(01/05/2025): Renowned sculptor of Odisha Padma Shri Prabhakar Maharana has been honoured with the prestigious "Desh Ratna" Samman for his outstanding contributions to the field of sculpture.
The award ceremony, held at Kamini Auditorium in New Delhi, was attended by several dignitaries, including Union Minister for Culture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Uttar Pradesh Minister for Labour and Employment Raghuraj Singh, popular film actor Surendra Singh Pal, Mustakh Khan and Swami Sandipani, Anubhav Arora. The event was organized by Bharati Yuva Welfare, in collaboration with various central government departments and the Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Department.
The programme was coordinated by Mohit Narayan and Sumit Narayan from Bharati Yuva Welfare. The dignitaries praised the dedication of Padma Shri Prabhakar Maharana and said that Maharana's exceptional craftsmanship and dedication to preserving Odisha's rich cultural heritage have earned him this esteemed recognition.
