Patriotic Poetry Recital by Saraswat Sahitya Sansad: Poets Read in ‘An Evening Dedicated to the Nation’

Balasore, 11/8 (Krushna Kumar Mohanty): One of the state’s leading literary organizations, Saraswat Sahitya Sansad, organized a captivating poetry recital titled “An Evening Dedicated to the Nation” at the conference hall of Tulashipur Shishu Vidya Mandir.

Presided over by eminent humorist and writer Dr. Narayan Mohanty, the event had distinguished literary scholar Jagabandhu Mishra as the Chief Guest and noted satirical poet Jnana Hota as the Guest of Honour. The Sansad’s Joint Secretary, Professor Dr. Nirod Kumar Mantri, invited the guests to the stage and introduced them to the audience. Secretary of the Sansad and prominent nationalist poet Bipin Bihari Raut delivered the inaugural address, highlighting the objective and significance of such a unique programme.

Under the graceful compering of Rashtradeep’s Associate Editor Pragnya Parimita Acharya, several poets — Dr. Kanaklata Das, Sunil Dwibedi, Saroj Paital, Pragnya Parimita Acharya, Bipin Bihari Raut, Bandana Singh, Sasmita Mishra, Rashmita Hota, Ranjan Ray, Bhagirathi Pradhan, among others — recited their self-composed patriotic poems. Both Chief Guest Mr. Mishra and Guest of Honour Mr. Hota shared valuable reflections on the theme “Nationalism in Poetry.”

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by senior member of the Sansad, eminent humorist, and columnist Radhashyam Roul.
