PM HIGHLIGHTS NEED FOR UNIFIED LANGUAGE IN AYURVEDA, SIDDHA & UNANI PRACTICES
New Delhi (28/01/2024): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday addressed the nation through his 109th episode of Mann ki Baat monthly radio programme. The Prime Minister hailed the power of women in various fields including sports and defence forces, etc.
Speaking about the contribution of women in self help groups, the Prime Minister said, "Women are doing great work in the field of agriculture.
They are creating bio-products including fertilisers and pesticides." The PM highlighted about organ donors and said that more than 1000 people donated their organs after their death. He appreciated the family members of the organ donors. PM Modi talked about how Ayurveda and Siddha system of medication is helping people.
The PM highlighted the need for unified language in Ayurveda, Siddha and Unani practices.
He said, "There must be many people among you who get help from Ayurveda, Siddha and Unani system for treatment.
But such patients face problems when they go to some other doctor of the same system.
In this medical practices, a common language is not used for the terminology of diseases, treatments and medicines.".
