RAJA MAHOTSAV-2024 INAUGURATED AT BHUBANESWAR PANTHANIVAS
Bhubaneswar (13/06/2024): The much-awaited Raja Mahotsav-2024 organised by the Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC) in association with the Department of Tourism, Odisha was inaugurated on Thursday at Bhubaneswar Panthanivas. The inaugural event was graced by MP Aparajita Sarangi, MLA Ekamra Babu Singh, Director Tourism Sachin R Jadhav, General Manager OTDC Dr Lalatendu Sahoo, Working President Utkal Parjyatan Nigam Employees' Association Benudhar Patra, Divisional Manager Finance & Hospitality Services Abhijit Saurabh Swain and Divisional Manager Tours, Transport & Travel (TTT) & Marketing Ranjan Kumar Mishra. Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi paid an amount of Rs 15,000 for purchasing Pitha and distributing the same among people. Similarly, Ekamra MLA Babu Singh also made a payment of Rs 5,000 for the same purpose. The traditional festival of the state is being observed by the OTDC by creating a rural ambience and aroma.
The major attractions include swing (Raja Doli), special delicious like Poda Pitha, Manda Pitha, Arisha, Kakara, Labangalata, Mandia Pitha, Khiragaja, Chhena Poda and Raja Paan. The event will be celebrated for four consecutive days at all OTDC units including Panthanivas/Yatrinivas/Aranyanivas located in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Chandipur, Gopalpur, Sambalpur, Rourkela, Barkul, Puri, Rambha, Keonjhar, Konark, Chandaneswar, Chandbali, Nimantrana Bhubaneswar and Silver Boat Club in Cuttack. Besides, the Pitha on Wheels will be operated at Patia, Rasulgarh (Esplanade) Master Canteen Square in Bhubaneswar and Sambalpur.
