Teaching–Learning Materials Exhibition ‘Shiksha Sadhanam’ Held at Fakir Mohan Autonomous College

Balasore, February 5 (Krushna Kumar Mohanty): A teaching–learning materials exhibition titled ‘Shiksha Sadhanam’ was organised under the aegis of the Department of Teacher Education at Fakir Mohan Autonomous College. The exhibition was held at the East Campus of the college.

The programme was presided over by the Principal, Dr Dinesh Chandra Dash, while it was coordinated by Assistant Professor Ms Bebirani Shee.

Professor Dr Jyotishankar Pradhan attended the event as the chief guest, Professor Dr Sanjay Kumar Dey as the keynote speaker, Administrative Head Firoz Kumar Padhi, and Academic Head Dr Jayashree Mishra. The speakers highlighted the importance of teaching–learning materials in the educational process and encouraged the students to adopt innovative methods in teaching.

As part of the exhibition, 98 working models of teaching aids prepared by fourth-year students and teacher trainees of the Integrated B.Ed programme were displayed. The exhibits were evaluated by Dr Nibedita Das, Dr Kanti Sethi, Ms Barsabarnali Patra, and Dr Purnaprabha Mantri.

The event was successfully conducted with the dedicated efforts and cooperation of the Head of the Department of Teacher Education, Mr Pramod Kumar Das, faculty members Ms Suchita Das, Mahima Behera, Jyotirekha Panda, Sriparna Gayen, Mr Smrutiranjan Sahu, and staff members Manas Kumar Mishra and Ranjit Das.

Nearly one thousand high school students from different parts of the Balasore municipal area visited the exhibition. They found the working models of the teaching materials highly informative and beneficial for their learning experience.
