THE POLLED STRONG ROOMS ARE GUARDED BY THREE-LAYER SECURITY: KHORDHA COLLECTOR

Bhubaneswar (29/05/2024): The polled strong rooms are guarded by three-layer security (with Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) inner perimeter and under 24X7 CCTV surveillance.

This was informed by Khordha Collector Chanchala Rana on Wednesday. Responding to the concerns raised over security of the strong rooms at BJB College in Bhubaneswar, the Collector said, "The EVM strong rooms are locked and sealed in presence of observers, Returning Officer (RO) and candidates.

The CCTV feed is continuously provided to all candidates in front of the BJB College." He further stated that counting hall preparation is underway at BJB College, which does not need polled EVM strong access, is continuously videographed and log book entry is made.

Candidates can be escorted to inner perimeter of strong room in case of any doubt on the security.
