Unforgettable comedy show by renowned comedian Zakir Khan brings audience together for night of humor & camaraderie at Xamboree 4.0
Bhubaneswar (29/10/2024): XIM University, Bhubaneswar, celebrated Xamboree 4.0, Eastern India’s largest cultural fest, an extraordinary celebration of talent, creativity, and competition.
Organised by Student Executive Council and Student Activity Council, in collaboration with XSTEC, Xamboree drew in participants from various departments of Undergraduates and Postgraduates studies.
Also, the event hosted students from various local colleges who participated in several events. Xamboree 4.0 unfolded over two thrilling days of diverse events and competitions, captivating participants with both cultural and academic challenges.
Day 1, held on October 26, featured a wide range of events, including Pehchan 2.0, a showcase of talent and identity; XIMUN 5.0, the university's dynamic Model United Nations; and Brand X-periment, an innovation-driven branding contest.
Attendees also enjoyed X Shots, a photography competition, and Xan Sansad, an engaging parliamentary debate.
Competitive spirits soared during sports events, Spardha for strategic minds, and Footloose for dance enthusiasts.
Niti Vision, a policy competition, and a life-sized version of Monopoly further enriched the day. Day 2 on October 27 continued the excitement with returning highlights like Pehchan 2.0 and XIMUN 5.0, along with creative events such as Pratiroopan, an innovative design challenge; X Splash, a vibrant art competition; and Dhwani, a musical showcase.
E-sports fans competed in BGMI and FIFA, while fashion and creativity converged at the Runway Roll.
Participants tested their dance abilities in Battle It Out.
The day closed with I, Me, Myself, a solo performance segment, and the evening culminated with an unforgettable comedy show by renowned comedian Zakir Khan, bringing the audience together for a night of humor and camaraderie.
Organized by Oddone, the event partner, Zakir’s act drew over a thousand attendees, including Fr.Antony R Uvari (Vice Chancellor), Fr.Antony S Raj (Registrar), Fr.V Arokiyadaas (CFO), Fr.Bipin (Resident Prefect), alongside esteemed alumni, faculty, staff, and students.
With his unique storytelling, relatable humor, and heartfelt anecdotes, Zakir kept the audience laughing and reflecting on the shared quirks of life.
The thunderous applause and standing ovations underscored the show’s impact, making it a truly memorable highlight of Xamboree 4.0 and a fitting finale to two days of vibrant cultural celebration. Xamboree 4.0’s success owes much to the Xavier’s Steering Committee, led by Student Executive Council (SEC) & Student Activity Council (SAC), and the support of numerous student volunteers, faculty, and staff.
As the most awaited cultural event at the campus, Xamboree continues to celebrate diversity, inspire creativity, and unite students.
