Young cricketers showcase talents at Excel Shield Cricket Tournament
Bhubaneswar (28/12/2024): Young cricketers showcased their talents at matches being played at the Excel Shield Cricket Tournament which started on December 23 at Saint Joseph's High School Ground in Bhubaneswar. On December 26, the first match -Pre-quarter Final was played between Juvenile Vs Youth Cricket Club (YCC). YCC won the toss and elected to field.
Juvenile scored 75 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 17 overs.
YCC chased down the total in 11.3 overs, scoring 79 runs with the loss of 2 wickets.
YCC won by 8 wickets. Manabendra Behera was the Player of the Match.
He scored 37 runs in 29 balls and took 3 wickets in 4 overs. Chief Guest for this match was Hemant Suar (Board member of Excel Cricket Academy). Second Match - Pre-quarter Final was played between Red Star Cricket Club and Oscar Sporting Club. Oscar won the toss and elected to field.
Red Star scored 254 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs.
Oscar scored 51 runs and lost 10 wickets in 12.2 overs.
