Young Poet Dyuti Mohanty Honoured with 'Horizon' Award by Fakirmohan Sahitya Khati

Balasore, 5 June (Krushna Kumar Mohanty):
This forenoon, emerging English-language poet Dyuti Mohanty was felicitated at the Fakirmohan Golai Sahitya Khati, Balasore. She received the 'Horizon' honour from the literary page of the English daily The Kalinga Chronicle, in recognition of her promising literary pursuits. The editor of the 'Horizon' page, Krushna Kumar Mohanty, presented her with a certificate of honour, a bouquet, and a ceremonial stole.

A literary gathering was held on this occasion under the coordination of poet Prashanta Das, the head of Sahitya Khati. Esteemed poet Sridev, editor Subhendu Das, veteran journalist Shashiranjan Mallik, Associate Professor Santosh Kumar Nayak, and poets Utpal Mohanty, Rajesh Giri, and Madhusudan Mishra were among the dignitaries present. They extended their blessings to Dyuti and wished her success in her literary journey.

It is noteworthy that The Kalinga Chronicle, published from Bhubaneswar, runs the 'Horizon' literary page curated by senior poet and editor Krushna Kumar Mohanty. The initiative has been strongly supported by the newspaper’s editor Pabitra Mohan Samantray, whose interest in literature was gratefully acknowledged by the attending writers.

Dyuti Mohanty's English poem, recently published in Horizon, garnered wide appreciation from readers, prompting this felicitation. A student of Rural Management at KIIT University, Dyuti has been devoting herself to poetry with deep commitment. The literary community present at the event extended their warm wishes for her bright future.
