Another low pressure area forms over southeast Bangladesh; Most parts of Odisha may experience heavy rainfall
Bhubaneswar (13/09/2024): The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday stated that another low pressure area has formed over the southeast Bangladesh and neighbourhood.
The low pressure is likely to intensify into a depression over coastal West Bengal and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal during the next 48 hours. Under its influence, several parts of Odisha may receive heavy to very heavy rainfall till September 15. The districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Bargarh, Malkangiri, Koraput and Nabarangpur are likely to witness thunderstorm and lightning activities.
Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur over the districts of Kalahandi, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Rayagada and Gajapati.
