Bahrain Odia Samaj celebrates "Odia Asmita Utsav 2025"

Bhubaneswar (By Abhishek Mohanty): The Bahrain Odia Samaj recently celebrated "Odia Asmita Utsav 2025" in grand manner.

The aim is to promote Odia culture and identity across the globe.

The event held at Salmabad was presided over by the Founder of Bahrain Odia Samaj Dr Arun Kumar Praharaj. 

It was attended by Indian Ambassador Vinod K. Jacob as chief guest.
Ahmed Al Haiqi, Secretary for Labour Affairs at Labour and Social Development Department, Bahrain and renowned sand artist Padmashree Sudarsan Pattnaik graced the occasion.

Members of Bahrain Odia Samaj showcased traditional Odia dances, music, and food items, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Odisha.

On the occasion, Padmashree Sudarsan Pattnaik was honoured with the prestigious "Odia Asmita Samman" for his contributions to sand art, while Guru Saswat Joshi received the "Odia Asmita Nrutya Kala Samman" for his expertise in Odissi dance.

The newsletter of Bahrain Odia Samaj titled "Bahrain Utkalika" was unveiled by the guests.
