BALASORE TRAIN MISHAP: 193 BODIES SENT TO BHUBANESWAR, 94 BODIES HANDED OVER IN BALASORE

Bhubaneswar (06/06/2023): Odisha Chief Secretary Pradeep Jena on Tuesday informed that the total death toll in Balasore train mishap stands at 288 so far.

The Chief Secretary said, "Total 193 bodies were sent to Bhubaneswar, 94 bodies were handed over in Balasore, while one body was handed over in Bhadrak. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case on request of Railways Ministry, consent of Odisha government and further orders from the DoPT, Goverment of India relating to the train accident involving Coromandel Express, Yashwantpur-Howrah Express and a goods train at Bahanaga Bazaar in Balasore district.
