BALASORE TRAIN MISHAP: SEVEN RAILWAY STAFF SUSPENDED

Bhubaneswar (12/07/2023): Seven Railway staff including three employees, who were earlier arrested in connection with the Balasore train mishap, have been suspended. This was informed by South-Eastern Railway General Manager Anil Kumar Mishra on Wednesday. All seven have been placed under suspension for dereliction of duty. The development comes soon after the new General Manager of South-Eastern Railway and DRM visited Bahanaga Bazaar and Balasore stations today.

They also visited Gopinathpur railway station with MP Pratap Sarangi. The mishap had claimed the lives of 294 persons and injured 1175 others.
