BANDH IN KANTABANJI & BHUBAN AFFECTS NORMAL LIFE

Balangir/Dhenkanal: A 12-hour bandh is being observed in Kantabanji of Balangir district of Odisha on Tuesday over the demand of district status for the region. The Kantabanji Zilla Sangharsha Samiti has given the bandh call to press the demand. The strike affected normal life in Kantabanji area as members of the outfit resorted to picketing at various places.

While shops and markets remained closed, vehicles stayed off the roads. Similarly, a 12-hour bandh is also being observed at Bhuban block in Dhenkanal district by Kamakhyanagar BJP members.

The demands include appointment of teachers and teachers in the region .
