BHUBANESWAR GETS ITS FIRST NATURAL GAS-BASED CREMATORIUM

Bhubaneswar(18/08/2023): Bhubaneswar got its first natural gas-based crematorium for cremation of bodies. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Bhubaneswar Lok Sabha Member Aparajita Sarangi inaugurated the natural gas-based crematorium at Dharma Vihar in Khandagiri area on Friday. The crematorium developed by GAIL India Limited is equipped with two natural gas-run furnaces. Two more natural gas-based crematoriums will be made operational at Ainginia in Bhubaneswar and Khan Nagar in Cuttack.

An amount of Rs 16 crore has been spent for these three crematoriums.
