CHIEF MINISTER OF ODISHA ATTENDS GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY OF MAJOR PROJECTS IN PARADEEP
Bhubaneswar(16/02/2024): In the presence of a huge public gathering at Paradeep, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik laid the foundation stone of three landmark projects by JSW Utkal Steel Limited, ReNew E-Fuels Private Limited, and Silox India Private Limited.
JSW Utkal Steel started construction of a long awaited state-of-the-art steel plant, promising substantial job creation and a boost to the local economy through ancillary industries.
ReNew will be setting up a green fuels project, aligning with the state’s vision of promoting sustainable and green energy sources, further establishing Odisha as a leader in new-age energy.
Silox India is set to start a chemical manufacturing unit, focusing on innovation and sustainable practices, contributing to the state’s industrial diversity. Speaking on the occasion, Sajjan Jindal, Chairman, JSW Group said, “Last week, we laid the foundation stone for the JSW EV Project at Cuttack embarking on a new and exciting journey.
And today, we are here in Paradeep for the ground-breaking ceremony of a modern and futuristic steel plant.
JSW has been always committed to the growth and development of Odisha and we intend to remain so.
I thank the Hon’ble Chief Minister and Government of Odisha for their continued support to the JSW Group.” Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, expressed his enthusiasm for the projects, emphasizing the government’s commitment to leveraging such partnerships to create high-skill job opportunities for the youth of Odisha.
He highlighted the strategic importance of these projects in driving the state’s economic development, fostering innovation, and enhancing the employability of the local workforce.
The Chief Minister thanked Sajjan Jindal, Chairman, JSW Group, Sumant Sinha, Chairman, Renew Group, Prakash Raman, MD&CEO, Silox India Private Limited for choosing Odisha as their investment destination. While thanking the people of Paradeep, the Chief Minister said, “Today, Paradeep has emerged as one of the most attractive investment regions in the country.
The cluster of industries and the port is making Paradeep the fulcrum of industrial and commercial activities in the Bay of Bengal Region.
The success of the existing companies in Paradeep is attracting many more industries to this region and for that, I thank the people of Pardeep and Jagatsinghpur for their unwavering support of industrial development in Odisha.
