COMMISSIONERATE POLICE STARTS SAHABHAGITA FOR CRIME PREVENTION IN BHUBANESWAR

Bhubaneswar(30/08/2023): The Commissionerate Police on Wednesday launched Sahabhagita, an initiative to prevent and detect crime in Bhubaneswar. In July 2022, this initiative was started in Cuttack Urban Police District.

Now, more than 600 community CCTV cameras are part of it.

It is going to be extended to Bhubaneswar. Police Commissioner Saumendra Priyadarshi appealed the CCTV camera owners of common locations like malls, markets, business houses, apartment, etc.to share their IP addressed with police.

Under the initiative, bulk of the areas are brought under direct surveillance using the existing CCTV cameras installed at crucial junctions by private establishments and persons.
