Cuttack bridge mishap: Odisha CM announces Rs 5 lakh ex-gratia for families of deceased

Bhubaneswar (03/05/2025): Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi condoled the loss of lives in the Cuttack Khannagar bridge construction mishap that claimed the lives of three labourers and left two others critically injured.

The Chief Minister announced Rs 5 lakh ex-gratia for family of each deceased and assured free medical treatment for the injured. The mishap occurred when a cement concrete slab fell on the labourers. The concrete slab was attached to a crane fell from an under-construction bridge.
