CYCLONIC CIRCULATION LIKELY TO FORM OVER BAY OF BENGAL AROUND JULY 16
Bhubaneswar (13/07/2023): A cyclonic circulation is likely to form over northwest Bay of Bengal around July 16.
This was informed by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday. Under the impact of the cyclonic circulation, rainfall activity will increase in Odisha from July 17. On July 13, thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, Angul and Dhenkanal. Similarly, heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Angul, Deogarh, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Nuapada, Balangir and Bargarh on July 14. On July 16, heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Koraput, Gajapati and Rayagada.
