Diabetes Reversal Seminar Organized at Langaleswar Under the Initiative of Basta MLA Subasini Jena

Balasore, 26/5 (Krushna Kumar Mohanty):
A diabetes reversal seminar was organized yesterday afternoon at Langaleswar through the joint initiative of Basta MLA Subasini Jena, renowned Odisha-based diabetes reversal expert Dr. Madhab Nayak, and the R.K. Jena Foundation.

The event was presided over by former MP and head of the R.K. Jena Foundation, Rabindra Kumar Jena, and was inaugurated by Balasore Additional District Magistrate Prathamesh Aravind Rajsirké by lighting the ceremonial lamp. In his inaugural speech, Mr. Jena cited a statistic stating that over 24 crore people in India suffer from diabetes, with nearly every family having at least one diabetic member. He urged participants not only to free themselves from the disease but also to pledge to help at least five others in their circle overcome it, thereby collectively striving to make Balasore a diabetes-free district.

MLA Subasini Jena welcomed all participants and expressed her gratitude to Dr. Madhab Nayak for being part of this special initiative. She emphasized, “As an elected representative, your well-being is my primary responsibility. We must focus on lifestyle diseases like diabetes and work toward healthy and disease-free living.”

Additional District Magistrate Rajsirké remarked that people in India and South Asia are more prone to diabetes due to the high consumption of high-glycemic foods. He praised the efforts of the R.K. Jena Foundation and MLA Subasini Jena and encouraged the attendees to make full use of the seminar.

Among the key speakers, educationist Dr. Pankaj Kumar Jena made a powerful analogy by comparing diabetes to a modern-day Mahishasura (demonic force) and praised the commendable initiative by MLA Subasini Jena and former MP Rabindra Kumar Jena as a contemporary battle for health.

Dr. Madhab Nayak explained the concept and necessity of diabetes reversal through a two-hour projector-based presentation. He guided participants on how one can lead a normal life free from diabetes and compared ancient and modern lifestyles and diets, emphasizing the adverse effects of the latter. He concluded by answering questions from the audience related to diabetes.

On this occasion, success stories were shared by Chakradhar Das, Manoranjan Biswal, and Subhendu Mangaraj—individuals who had earlier participated in Dr. Nayak’s five-day diabetes reversal camp and achieved complete recovery without medicines or insulin.

The seminar saw active participation from dignitaries such as Balasore Zilla Parishad Chairman Narayan Chandra Pradhan, Chairperson of Balasore Municipality Sabita Sahu, and many intellectuals and common citizens from Basta, Baliapal blocks, and various parts of Balasore and Mayurbhanj districts, making the event a resounding success.
