Extensive tree plantation drive conducted by Anchalika Bikash Parishad

Bhubaneswar(By Abhishek Mohanty): As part of an environmental awareness and cleanliness initiative, an extensive tree plantation drive was conducted near Jadumalli Temple along the banks of Daya River in Bhubaneswar by the Anchalika Bikash Parishad (Regional Development Council). 

Many local youths participated in the plantation programme and also fenced the area to ensure protection of the saplings.

Everyone took an oath to ensure the survival of the saplings.

The programme was organised under the leadership of Brundaban Sahu, the President of the Parishad, along with Vice President and writer Akshaya Swain, Secretary Arun Kumar Purohit, senior members Prashanta Mishra, Jitendra Jena, environmentalist Lakshmidhar Pradhan, Sarat Biswal, Purnachandra Swain, Dinabandhu Swain, Ramesh Gochhayat, Indramani Maharana, Sanjay Das, Pradeep Kumar Pradhan, Debaraj Behera, Sumanta Subudhi, Pratap Jena, Saroj Das, Bishnu Bishwal, and other members.

Dr Lingaraj Sahoo also joined the event, encouraged the participants, and planted trees. He spoke about the importance of tree plantation and environmental awareness.
