Fifth Evening of Balasore Lok Mahotsav Held: Playback singer Asima Panda Thrills the Audience
Balasore, 23/11 (Krushna Kumar Mohanty): The fifth evening of the Balasore Lok Mahotsav was held at the ITI ground. The meeting was presided over by Seemon Das Mahapatra, Vice Chairman of the festival committee. Former MP Rabindra Kumar Jena attended as the special guest and praised the efforts of the youth in driving cultural and commercial development in the town. Balasore Collector Suryabanshi Mayur Vikas was also present.
Committee Secretary Tapas Panigrahi conducted the proceedings. Others present on the stage included advisors youth leader Bikram Panda, Bhagabata Sahu, Chairman Biswajit Paramanik, President Asit Kumar Das, General Secretary Sanjay Samanta, Secretary Satya Prakash Pati, Hemanta Mohanty, Vice President Saubhagya Manas Nayak, executive members Anjan Parida and Jitendra Mahalik.
At the end, Secretary Rajesh Mahakud offered the vote of thanks. Executive President Sriman Srichandan, Vice President Srimant Majhi, Bikash Kumar Padhi, Rajendra Pattanaik, Sambit Vishal, Jitendra Mahalik, Hritik Nayak, Soumya Yadav, Jagannath Panigrahi, Anupam Mishra, Soumya Panigrahi, Jhadeshwar Jena and Jeevan Sangram Mishra coordinated the programme.
Noted social workers Sumanta Kumar Jena and Suraj Vishal, Sahadevkhunta IIC Biranchi Sahu, and renowned sculptor Biswanath Rana were felicitated by the committee.
After the formal session, popular Playback singer Asima Panda performed, delighting the audience. More than 300 stalls have been set up by traders from within and outside the state. The crowd continues to grow each day, enjoying hot food and shopping for different items at the fair. Meena Bazaar, Ramdoli and Jalpari have become major attractions. The Lok Mahotsav will continue till November 28, according to the organisers.
