FIRST BUDGET OF MODI 3.0 GOVERNMENT PRESENTED; FOCUS ON EMPLOYMENT & SKILLING
New Delhi (23/07/2024):Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday presented the Modi 3.0 first budget. The budget focuses on employment, skilling, MSMEs and middle class. The Finance Minister announced three employment linked schemes as part of the Prime Minister package, scheme to provide one month's wage to all freshers in all formal sectors.
The Minister also announced incentives for job creation in manufacturing sector and said incentives will be provided at a specific scale to both the employee and employer with respect to EPFO contribution in the first four years of employment. Sitharaman said,"In the next two years, one crore farmers across India will be initiated into natural farming.
An amount of Rs 1.52 lakh crore has been set aside for agriculture and allied sectors.
A total of 20 lakh youth will be skilled over five years.
The government will provide financial support for loans up to Rs 10 lakh for higher education in domestic institutions.
Our government will implement three schemes- First Timers, Job Creation in Manufacturing and Support to Employers-for employment-linked initiatives as part of the Prime Minister's package.".
