FIVE KILLED, ONE INJURED IN SEPARATE ROAD MISHAPS

Koraput(15/11/2023): At least five persons were killed and another person sustained injuries in two separate road mishaps in Odisha on Wednesday morning. The first incident was reported from Koraput where three persons lost their lives and another was injured after the car they were travelling in plunged into a gorge on Sunki Ghat near Jodimadeli under Pottangi police limits. The injured person was rushed to Koraput district headquarters hospital. All the occupants of the SUV belonged to the same family and were on their way to Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh from Rajnandgaon in Chhattisgarh. Similarly, two bicycle riders died after a speeding car hit them near Jharmunda village under Badagaon police limits in Sundargarh district. Both the deceased belonged to Jharmunda village and were going to Badagaon when the mishap took place. The driver of the car fled the spot with the vehicle.
