Five women honoured with “Kalinga Veerangana Award-2026” by Seva Prayas Foundation

Bhubaneswar(By Abhishek Mohanty): To honuor the strength of women and their contributions to society, a grand ceremony was organized by the Seva Prayas Foundation. The program, conducted under the leadership of the foundation’s head and social worker Lincoln Subuddhi, brought together successful women from different parts of the state.


On this occasion, a grand “SPF Kalinga Veerangana Cricket League for Women” and a Car Rally were organized. 

The main objective of this three-day program was to promote women’s empowerment, self-respect, and to strengthen their position in society through sports.

Several distinguished personalities from the country and the state attended the event as guests, including Chinmaya Mohanty, Senior Advocate of Supreme Court, Ranjit Moharana, Secretary of the All Odisha Lawyer Association, and Jitendra Sahu, senior journalist.

Supreme Court advocate Chinmaya Mohanty stated that the initiative taken by Seva Prayas to bring women from all sections of society together and showcase their talents is commendable. He particularly appreciated the recognition given to working women and women lawyers. 

He congratulated Lincoln Subuddhi and Anuradha Biswal for their continuous efforts and said that the “Kalinga Veerangana Cricket Tournament” and Women’s Car Rally organized by the foundation have created a new identity of women’s power across Odisha.

Ranjit Moharana encouraged women to be aware of their rights and move forward with confidence.

On this occasion, five women who achieved remarkable success in different fields were honoured with the “Kalinga Veerangana Award-2026” by Seva Prayas Foundation. The awardees were:
Dr. Samita Mohanty (Healthcare)
Payal Patel (Entrepreneurship)
Maa Arundhati Devi (Service Honor)
Satrupa Samantaray (Journalism)
Rashmita Mohanty (Sports)
Additionally, all the guests were felicitated with mementos and ceremonial shawls by the foundation.
On this occasion, founder Lincoln Subuddhi said,
“Our goal is not just to celebrate but to awaken the hidden talents within every woman and bring them into the mainstream of society. This mission will expand further in the coming days.”
In the Kalinga Veerangana Cricket Tournament, the Women Lawyers’ Team emerged as champions. Similarly, MBBS students became champions in the academic category.
The program was coordinated by Biswajit Sahu, Coordinator and Project Director of SPF, and Anuradha Biswal, Advisor of SPF. The event was hosted by Sonali and Abhishek Mohanty.
