The flood situation in Odisha is gradually improving, said Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari on Monday.
Following a review on flood situation in the state, the Minister said, "The water level in Budhabalanga River is decreasing, while it's gradually increasing in Subarnarekha. Rainfall has decreased in the upper catchment areas, and the sea is calm. Favorable weather conditions are allowing for smooth discharge of water."
Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) teams are deployed in three districts, with additional teams being shifted to Balasore.
Cooked food is being provided to the affected people.
The Minister has advised people not to panic and assured that the situation is under control.
