Four-year-old boy dies after accidentally swallowing plastic toy
Bhubaneswar(By Abhishek Mohanty): A four-year-old child lost his life after choking on a small plastic toy that came inside a packet of chips. The incident took place on Wednesday at Musumaha Pada near Shikaramaha village under the Brahmanigaon police limits in Kandhamal district.
The boy, identified as Bigil Pradhan, was the son of Ranjit Pradhan. Bigil’s father had bought him a packet of chips, and while playing with the tiny toy gun included in it, the child accidentally swallowed it. The toy became lodged in his throat, causing severe breathing problem.
His parents tried to remove the toy themselves but were unable to do so. They rushed him to the Daringbadi Community Health Centre in a critical state, but doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival.
