Ganesh Chaturthi marks beginning of the festive season
Bhubaneswar(07/09/2024): Today is Ganesh Chaturthi, the beginning of festive season. Preparations are underway in various places to welcome Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles.
Schools, colleges, and homes across Odisha are celebrating Ganesh Puja with pomp and grandeur. Devotees offered worship at various temples and performed pujas to the idols of the elephant headed God at home.
People from different walks of life thronged beautifully decorated mandaps at Badagada, Unit-4, Master Canteen, Sahid Nagar, Raj Mahal, Ashok Nagar, Bapuji Nagar and Laxmi Sagar. One of the major attractions is the 57-feet Ganesh idol installed by the Bright Star Youth Association at Badagada area.
Similarly, the puja pandal of Winner Association at Saheed Nagar has installed a 46-feet idol of Lord Ganesh .
