Ganesh Puja Celebrated by Senior Citizens at Kalinga Nagar

Balasore, 31/8 (Krushna Kumar Mohanty): This year’s Ganesh Puja brought a festive spirit across Balasore, with dazzling decorations and idols attracting large crowds. While youth participation was prominent in most areas, Kalinga Nagar on the town’s outskirts stood out for its unique initiative.

Here, the Ganesh Puja was organized by the Kalinga Nagar Development Council, consisting entirely of retired employees. The rituals were conducted with devotion, and nearly 250 devotees were served prasad after offering prayers. The atmosphere was filled with chants and spiritual fervor.

In the evening, aarti and devotional singing were held, where young musician Ashutosh, son of the Deputy Collector, captivated the audience with his instrumental performance. Residents and visitors participated enthusiastically, fostering a strong sense of community bonding.

The Ganesh Puja at Kalinga Nagar has been observed for the past four years. This year, after two days of worship, the idol was ceremonially immersed at Balighat, marking the conclusion of the celebration.
