Highland Group Ships First Consignment of ‘Aqua Fair’ Seafood to Middle East in Partnership with Global Retail Giant Lulu Group

At the recently held World Food Expo at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, Balasore-based Highland Group, in collaboration with Lulu Group International, one of the world’s leading retail conglomerates, launched an exclusive premium seafood brand titled ‘Aqua Fair’. Along with the launch, the first consignment of Aqua Fair-branded shrimp has been shipped to Lulu Group’s malls across the Middle East, marking a new chapter in India’s seafood industry and export sector.

This collaboration is expected to strengthen Odisha’s position as a major hub for high-quality aquaculture products, further enhancing the state’s contribution to India’s marine food exports.

Speaking on the occasion, M.A. Yusuff Ali, Chairman of Lulu Group, said, “Our aim is to ensure a consistent supply of sustainable seafood to customers across the Middle East and India.” Similarly, Rabindra Kumar Jena, Chairman of Highland Group, stated that the launch of Aqua Fair and its first export to Lulu Malls in the Middle East marks a milestone in Highland’s success story, and that the partnership will strengthen their goal of delivering India’s finest seafood to global markets.

Highland Group sources farm-fresh shrimp through a well-organized network and processes them at its state-of-the-art facility in Balasore, maintaining the highest standards of freshness, quality, and international food safety. The company plans to cater to both Middle Eastern and Indian retail markets through this initiative.

According to an agreement signed earlier this year at Gulfood 2025 in Dubai, Highland Group will supply seafood, rice, fruits, and vegetables to Lulu Group, thereby deepening trade and investment ties between Odisha and the Middle East. With the introduction of Aqua Fair, Highland Group is not only creating a distinct global identity but also showcasing India’s growing excellence in aquaculture and world-class seafood exports.
