KITE UTSAV: RAJA CELEBRATION AT BARABATI PALACE
Cuttack (14/06/2023): Katak Kite Utsav has been inaugurated at Cuttack Barabati Place to mark the Raja Utsav Celebration for 3 days under the banner of Mission Shakti.
District Collector, Cuttack Bhabani Shankar Chayani and officials from Mission Shakti inaugurated the event today.
Many Women Self Help Groups (SHGs) from Cuttack are showcasing their products in the venue ranging from eco-friendly jewellery to special homemade cold drinks to Bara and Machha Ambila.
Jagruti Self Help Group from Ward No 14, Khatbin Sahi led by Ms Kukumina Das has showcased beautiful ecofriendly jewellery made using sustainable materials.
The members of the SGH group are trained by Ms Priyadasini Das, the Green Queen of Odisha.
Similarly a unique combination of recipe for different types of cold drinks, shakes being sold by Jayashree Das by the Nandini Devi SHG from Ward No 30, Rajabagicha.
Another SHG from Ward No 44, in the name of Diganta Parivar are selling very unique Bara and Machha Ambila, a very speciality of Shankarpur of Cuttack.
Most of the women SHGs feel happy for the initiative taken by Mission Shakti and the District Collector .
