Labour Day Celebrated Through Poetry recitation in Baleswar

Baleswar, 1/5 (Krushna Kumar Mohanty): Labour Day was uniquely celebrated through poetry under the banner "Labour Day in the Poet’s Verse" at the auditorium near the renowned Prabhu Kshirachora Gopinath Temple in Remuna. The event was organized by the Rajendra Raut Seba Foundation, Baleswar.
Presided over by the Foundation’s Chairman, Er. Biroj Kumar Raut, the literary gathering featured eminent poet and chief editor of Bahighar, Abhaya Das, as the chief guest, who highly appreciated the innovative initiative. Human rights activist Sudhakar Sethy delivered the inaugural address, while poet Sunamani Jena extended the vote of thanks.
Distinguished social worker Harekrushna Giri attended as the guest of honour. The event witnessed poetry recitations from over twenty poets, including Shaktipada Pandasharma, Prabhat Kumar Acharya, Jayashree Mishra, Pratima Panda, Pradeep Kumar Mishra, Tapan Kumar Das, Sunamani Jena, and Pramodini Parichha.
Well-known satirical poet Prabhakar Sahu from Remuna and poet Sudhakar Sethy conducted the poetry session.
On this occasion, the organization also felicitated two outstanding labourers — Gagan Patra and Manoranjan Routray. Notable social workers Pranita Mishra and Nirupama Patra were present among others.
