MAN KILLS WIFE, SPENDS THREE DAYS WITH BODY IN BHUBANESWAR
Bhubaneswar(14/03/2024): A man allegedly killed his wife and spent three days with her body at Tarini Nagar in Maitri Vihar area of Bhubaneswar. According to sources, the couple and their two children were living at Tarini Nagar. The couple was working as daily labourers.
They would often quarrel over alcohol. Like any other day, they returned from work on Monday and had a heated argument.
The situation took an ugly turn when the man lost his cool, picked up a wooden plank and started beating his wife till she collapsed to the ground. When he realised about the crime he has committed, he sent his two children to a neighbour’s house and spent three days with her wife’s body.
On Sunday, the neighbours could smell a stench emanating from the house and asked him what happened. With no other option left, the accused confessed before the neighbours.
On receiving information, Maitri Vihar police along with a scientific team reached the spot and arrested him.
They seized the body for post-mortem.
The children are now under the care of their neighbours.
